THIS CLASS IS BOOKED OUT FOR TERM 2 2018.
Our tutor Craig Rawlings will help us improve our drawing skills.
Drawing is the fundamental prerequisite for the production of all forms of art. To be able to create any artwork, first you need to have the basic skills of drawing.
Whether your preference is landscapes, still life, portraits or life drawing you need to know where to start. If a person can see then they can draw; all you need to learn is how to put it on paper or canvas.
All levels of drawing ability can be accommodated in this class. Whether you are an experienced artist or have never drawn before you will enjoy this class. Everyone is challenged to improve their skills with a variety of subjects and techniques. You always feel you have learned something after an evening in this class. Drawing is a key learnable skill which forms a great basis for painting.
The use of pencil, pen, charcoal and pastel will be explored and topics such as perspective, tonal drawing and rendering will be covered.
Bring along your own sketch book, pencils (b, 2b, 4b, 6b), waterproof pens .1mm, .2mm and .4mm, ruler and pen knife/sharpener.
Your tutor is Craig Rawlings – a graduate of Monash University in Arts with 30 years experience in drawing skills . Craig has a passion for drawing and works in mixed media – watercolour, ink and acrylic and has taught drawing, life drawing, colour theory, digital design and Photoshop.
