67th Annual Exhibition In Conjunction With Whitehorse Arts Association
To be held at Box Hill Lower Town Hall Friday 6th to Sunday 8th September 2019
Entry closing date extended until Midnight Wednesday 28th August 2019
Conditions of Entry
Eligibility: Entries are open to all current financial members (as of 31 July 2019) and tutors of the Box Hill Art Group and Whitehorse Arts Association. Tutors are not eligible for prizes, and no entry fees apply to them.
Prizes: Will be awarded by an independent judge for Best in Show, Best Oil or Acrylics, Best Work on Paper and Peoples Choice.

Number and Size of Paintings: Maximum of 7 paintings or drawings and maximum dimension 120cm.
Painting Requirements: Each painting must bear the artists name, address, telephone number, title and price on the back. Paintings may be framed or unframed. All paintings must be equipped with wire and eyehooks ready for hanging. Cards may also be sold at the event.
Costs: An entry fee of $7.50 per painting. Commission of 25% will be deducted from all sales
Delivery of Paintings: Paintings should be delivered to the Box Hill Lower Town Hall on Friday 6th September between 9.00 am and 11.00 am. No paintings will be accepted after this time. Phone Ray Jones on 0419 114 126 or Eric Harvey on 0424 775 540 for other arrangements.
Collection of paintings: Unsold works will be available for collection on Sunday 8th September from 4pm to 4.45pm. Persons collecting on behalf of exhibitors should present a note of authority.
Official Opening: will be held on Friday September 6th at 8pm.
General Conditions: The committee reserves the right to reject any work. All care will be taken but no responsibility will be accepted for damage to any artwork. We reserve the right to photograph all artworks entered for exhibition, for the Group’s records and website, and for promotion & publicity purposes.
Original Work: All work should be the original work of the artist and not infringe copyright.

Our 67th annual exhibition will be held at Box Hill Lower Town Hall on 6-8 September 2019.

This is our major Exhibition for the year. Members of the Whitehorse Arts Association also exhibit with us.

  • Opening hours – Sunday 8 September 2019 – 10:00 am – 4:00 pm – $5 entry
  • Collect paintings – Sunday 8 September 2019 – 4:00 pm – 4:45 pm

Venue: Lower Box Hill Town Hall

Awards: Best in Show, Best Oil/Acrylic, Best Work on Paper and the People’s Choice Award.

The ‘Best in Show’ is a single Award. The winner receives the Whitehorse City Council Prize which is a monetary prize and Certificate.
The Best Oil/Acrylic, Best on Paper Awards are for First Prize, Second Prize and at the Judge’s discretion, Highly Commended. First Prize and Second Prize winners receive a Certificate and a voucher from our sponsors for art materials or framing. Highly Commended artists receive a Certificate.

The Annual Exhibition will be judged by TBA and awards will be presented on Opening night.

Current financial members (as at 31 July 2019) of Box Hill Art Group or Whitehorse Arts Association may contest all of these Awards.
