*Our next Sketch Together plus Lunch: Ian Potter Gallery/Federation Square

June Sketch Out will be nice and warm and under shelter at the Ian Potter Gallery/Federation Square.

When: 28th July, 2024,10:00 am. 

Gathering point: Foyer, near enquiry desk.

Activity: We will meet up and sketch for around 2 hours and then re-convene at the Foyer at 12pm to share our sketches, followed by cafe lunch.

What do I bring: 

• Bring along your own sketching materials.
• pencils rather than pens must be used;
• no spray fixatives and/or varnishes may be used;
• easels and paints are only permitted with written permission in advance; 
• sketchbooks or paper must not be larger than an A3 sheet (42.0 x 29.7 cm);
• When sketching or note-taking in the permanent gallery spaces, sketchers should take care not to obscure works on display from other visitors, school tours and other tour groups and be mindful of congestion within the gallery 

Cost: Gold coin donation payable on the day. Bookings are not required.

Who’s coming: Everyone is welcome to attend including non-members. Bring your family and friends or come along on your own. 

Sketching outdoors ( inside in the winter) in pleasant surroundings in good company  is a great way to spend a Sunday morning, followed by lunch with like minded people. It’s good for the soul, good for the mind, good for the practice of art and extremely low cost. You will meet some interesting people and see some different ways of interpreting things which might lead you in a whole new direction.

Sketching Together plus lunch held monthly on a Sunday morning at 10:00am (usually the last Sunday of the month).

BYO art materials, stool, coat, hat, and picnic lunch or money to purchase lunch depending on where we go.

Non-members are welcome.

Cost is a gold coin donation.
