You are invited to our Mid Year Exhibition 2019
Our exhibition gives members the opportunity to showcase their art to the wider public, as well as the opportunity of picking up a sale.
When: 17-22 June 2019 – Opening function and awards 17 June 2019 at 7:30pm
Where: Box Hill Community Art Centre, 470 Station Street Box Hill
This will be an opportunity to see all the paintings entered by members of the Box Hill Art Group.
Awards: The winners for the best “Work on Paper” and best painting in “Oil or Acrylic” each receive $200. The winner of the President’s Award receives $100.
CASH PRIZES OF $200 FOR BEST WORK ON PAPER AND FOR BEST OIL OR ACRYLIC. PRESIDENTS AWARD OF $100 and HIGHLY COMMENDED AWARDS
NO ENTRY FEES
Entries are open to all current financial members of the group.
Each member may enter up to 3 paintings.
Paintings must be wired ready to hang and there are no size restrictions.
Include your name, phone number, title and price on the back of each work.
Deliver to the Box Hill Community Art Centre on Monday 17 June between 9 – 10am. If you cannot deliver your paintings then contact a committee member to make other arrangements.
The Alcove Shop will assist with sales and they charge 20% commission. No commission will be charged by the Art Group.
Exhibition Opening will be in the Gallery at BHCAC on Monday 17 June at 7.30pm where awards will be announced and presented.
Collect unsold works on Saturday 22 June between 2 – 4pm. If you cannot collect your paintings then contact a committee member to make other arrangements.
All care will be taken but no responsibility will be accepted for damage to any work.
BHAG reserves the right to photograph submitted artwork for promoting this and future exhibitions and for catalogue and archival purposes.
